ELSIE MCLEAN ( Nee Jackson)

Born 9th April 1913

My mother told me that Elsie was my favourite aunt when I was young. I will never forget all the New Year's Eve parties we went to in the '40's an '50's aat their house. After our main meal around 6pm she would prepare pork dripping sandwiches at about 11pm.

The Jackson and McLean families spent many holidays together. This one at Bournemouth.

Elsie, Harold and Malcolm had a poodle called Fuzzie. During its later years the dog lost the use of both back legs. I remember constructing a 2-wheeled trolley with my Meccano set and strapping it to Fuzzie's body. Unfortunately, the trolley was too heavy for the dog to pull and finally it had to be put down.

Elsie married Harold McLean and they had one child, MALCOLM.
